Demonstration, African-American Students Leaving Campus
Following a dispute with Kent's administration over the presence of recruiters from the Oakland (California) Police Department, approximately 250 African-American students left the campus for several days in protest. Photograph appears on page 19 of the 1969 Chestnut Burr and on page 161 of A Book of Memories.
