Kent State Shootings: Digital Archive

Anti-Communist Material by Peter Catania

Description Comprised of heavily modified and annotated flyers, clippings, and other materials dealing with the Vietnam War, progressive organizations, and the peace movement, some of which include the stamp "Sent by Peter Catania, MSG. USAR RET." Others are simply signed "P. Catania." Annotations generally reflect anti-Communist sentiments. This packet includes photocopies of items originally printed in the 1970s and early 1990s, several originating in the Buffalo, New York area, but apparently modified by Catania in or around 1995. References are made to contemporary figures such as Bill Clinton and the Gulf War. Jerry M. Lewis notes the material was unsolicited by him, but received by him in 1995.
