Description Barry Seybert was a ninth-grade student in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, in 1970 and was acquainted with Allison Krause, one of the students killed in the shootings at Kent State University. Seybert went on to attend Kent State University from 1974 to 1978. He became active in student government, helped to found the May Fourth Task Force, and was a participant in Tent City, the protests against building the Gym Annex on the site of the shootings. He discusses his experiences during the early days of the May Fourth Task Force, the protest against the Gym Annex Building that was held in the University Administration Building, and living and being arrested in Tent City.
