The Chestnut Burr: Student Yearbook

Description Designed and produced entirely by students, The Chestnut Burr was published each year between 1914 and 1985 (with the exception of 1920). The traumatic and historic events of the May 4, 1970, shootings on campus were documented in the yearbook of the following year.

The images chosen by the student editors, along the innovative design and strikingly visual approach of this 1971 yearbook, convey a good deal about the cultural mood and student experience at that time.
